Email your list every day

Daily emails increased revenue by 23%!

If you want a super simple way to increase your revenue without spending another dime on marketing, email your list more often.

I like to say, “there is always money in the banana stand.” And the banana stand is your email list.

After discovering the infamous email marketer Ben Settle, I embarked on a 30-day experiment. I emailed my list five days per week (two less than what crotchety old Ben recommends). The result was a 23% increase in monthly revenue, all from sending more emails (and running one promotion).

It sounds so simple, but it works. But here is the deal. You can’t just send a promotional email every single day. You must send valuable content your subscribers want to read.

My CBD brand Hemp Daddy’s Therapeutics, sent valuable educational content about CBD, its benefits, and how to get the best results.

The types of emails you should send

Nobody likes ONLY to get promotional emails. Okay, maybe some people do, but you would be much better off building relationships and establishing trust.

If you send valuable content to your subscribers, they will come to know, like, and trust you — and be ready to purchase from you when the time is right. It’s all about staying top-of-mind!

There are endless possibilities for the types of emails you can send your customers. No matter what your product or service is.

Here are a few of my favorites:

  • Story-based emails. Write a story about something that happened to you and relate it to the product or service you are selling. For example, I once told a story about finding a pile of garbage while on a trail run. I spun that story and related it to how there is a lot of “garbage” in the CBD industry, and spoke about how Hemp Daddy’s CBD was better than anything on the market.
  • Educational emails. These are pretty simple, but can provide many content generation opportunities. You can talk about how to use your product, or educate people on topics in your industry.
  • FAQ Emails. Spend time asking your customers frequently asked questions. You can even take an email a customer wrote to you and answer it in an email. I found these to be very effective for my CBD brand because my customers could see I was actually taking time to address their specific questions and not just posting a generic FAQ page on our website.
  • Customer Testimonials. Take some time to toot your own horn and share the praises your customers are giving you. Social proof goes a long way when selling.
  • Selling Emails. I consider these your standard promotional emails, abandoned cart emails, and back-in-stock messages. These are all ways to stay top-of-mind with your customer.

The lesson learned here is don’t be afraid to email your customers frequently.

I hear many people say they feel like they will bother people, but the truth of the matter is if somebody gave you their email, they want to hear from you!

When you email your list frequently, with valuable content, you set yourself up as a trusted authority figure with an established relationship. People will continue to buy from you, even if your prices are higher because they like and prefer to buy from YOU.
